I’m lucky enough to have found a relatively cheap place in the ‘cool’ and ‘hip’ part of Bangkok. Thai’s call it, “a hiso area”.
Which simply means it is ‘high society area’.
Don’t ask me what high society entails, or whether it has any relevance to me, all I know is that they are obsessed with the stuff.
Balloon fairs are hiso too, apparently.
I went to check it out.

In typical Thai event planning style, it was yet another excuse to buy lovely outfits and eat delicious food, from the many stalls that had set up.
What was interesting was that apart from a few scatterings of balloons here and there, there was not much in the way of balloon displays. What kind of balloon fair, doesn’t have balloons?
I’m not complaining. I’m just a bit confused.

Look what I found!
I have always been told I have weird taste, and maybe I do, maybe I don’t.
But this is just so adorable. Its handmade and uses natural dyes. Other people agreed. Shortly after I took a wander I returned to find out it had already sold out in every color.
I needs it!

I fell in love with this skirt. Its simple but very me.
I do have to get those squats perfected before I wear this though.
My idea is a lace crop top this skirt and brogues.
I know its hard to imagine, but watch this space and I’ll be rocking them down Sukhumvit in no time.

The clothes were all by up and coming designers, and all hand made.
I left empty handed, but all in all, it was just another pleasant afternoon in Bangkok. <3
